Crates & Covers

Crate training is highly encouraged. It is an amazing tool while house training and keeps them out of trouble while you're away. Crate training also reduces separation anxiety teaching puppies to settle in a safe environment when away from their people.
48" Crate
This is the ideal size for a swissy. Although they might curl up in the back when it is bedtime, they have space to stand up, turn around and stretch out if they please.
The crate covers linked below add style to the huge boring cage sitting in your living room and usually helps them relax, creating a "den like" environment

48” Grey
48” Black Nylon
48” Pink
54" Crate
If space in your home allows, you can go "all out" with a 54. Crate covers linked below.
54” Tan/Khaki
54” Grey
54” Black Nylon
42" Crate
This size is only recommended for travel and usually a squeeze especially for full grown males. Crate cover linked below.

Nail maintenance

With any breed, but especially a large breed, keeping up with nail growth is necessary for mobility. Too long of nails can lead to flat feet, splayed toes and early arthritis in the toes and ankles. All puppies are started with a "baby Dremel" at 3-4 days old and continued throughout their upbringing. Here is an awesome tutorial on the technique if you need help. A second person to give treats or pets is always helpful as well.
Nail Grinder
Diamagroove
A great amazon alternative to the "real" diamagroove sanding bit.
Nail clippers
Sharpest ones around! Good to have on hand, but dremel is the safest and easiest.
Styptic Powder
In case of any accidents. Nails bleed, even the smallest nick of the quick. Styptic powder (or cornstarch in a pinch) will help it clot.
